In a heartwarming display of appreciation, students from Kwara State came together today in a special rally to express their gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his unwavering commitment to prioritizing student welfare through a series of pro-masses initiatives.
According to the students, the rally served as a platform to commend the governor’s efforts in cushioning the effects of fuel subsidy removal and enhancing the educational experience for students across the state.
One of the key highlights of Governor AbdulRazaq’s initiatives that garnered praise from the students was the recent approval of the disbursement of Bursary and Scholarship Awards to indigenes of Kwara State pursuing higher education in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
This move has provided much-needed financial support to students, easing their burden and enabling them to focus more on their studies.
Additionally, students applauded the provision of palliative buses, which have facilitated easier transportation for students to commute to and from their educational institutions.
This initiative has been particularly beneficial for students facing challenges in accessing transportation due to financial constraints or logistical issues.
Furthermore, the recent distribution of 50,000 food palliatives to students across the state was met with widespread appreciation from the student community. The provision of these food items has alleviated food insecurity concerns among students, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals despite economic challenges.
The rally, which was led by Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Kwara State Chapter, Comrade Issa Abdulgafar, and the National President of the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS), Comrade Abdulwahab Arewa, showcased the unity and solidarity of Kwara students in acknowledging and celebrating Governor AbdulRazaq’s student-centric initiatives.
Speaking at the rally, Comrade Issa Abdulgafar emphasized the importance of Governor AbdulRazaq’s proactive measures in addressing the needs of students, stating, “Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to the welfare of students in Kwara State is commendable, and his initiatives have had a significant positive impact on the lives of students across the state.”
Similarly, Comrade Abdulwahab Arewa echoed these sentiments, expressing gratitude on behalf of Kwara State students for the Governor’s continuous support and advocacy for their welfare.
The rally is a poignant reminder of the significant strides made by Governor AbdulRazaq in prioritizing student welfare and fostering an enabling environment for academic excellence in Kwara State.
