On Thursday 11th January 2024, the Nigeria Institute of Social Media analysts (NISMA), conferred the status of Fellow of the institute upon the Director Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center(NPF-NCC), CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry.
The conferment was in recognition of CP Uche’s outstanding contributions and achievements in creating awareness and fighting Cyber and Cyber enabled crime.
The proceedings was presided over by Professor Samaila Mande, the Vice president NISMA and Chairman of NISMA Governing Council, and recorded the presence of notable members of the Institute like Mr Christian Eze FNISMA, The National Coordinator NISMA, Mr Eric Adile iroajugh Mnipr, FNISMA, Council member,and Head of training, and ASP Oduniyi Omotayo Anipr, MNISMA, member Training committee of the Institute and the Public Relations Liaison Officer of the Center.
The symposium was taken as an opportunity to establish constructive partnership between the Center and the institute towards upscaling Information Sharing, Training and Skill Development, Research and Innovation, Improved Incident Response, Public Awareness and Education, Enhanced Cyber Threat Detection.
The Director NPF-NCCC while extending his gratitude to the leadership of the Institute, reiterated the Center’s commitment upon the Mandate of the Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeola Egbetokun Ph.D, NPM, to explore all avenues in tandem with global best practices to create cybersecurity awareness and intensify efforts in ensuring that Cyber and Cyber-enabled crime is brought to the barest minimum.
