A concerned Nigerian, Akeem Alao, has vehemently warned fellow Nigerians to steer clear of the digital banking services offered by PayDay, citing what he describes as a litany of unsatisfactory experiences with the financial institution.
Alao, expressing his grievances regarding the allegedly poor services provided by PayDay, labelling it a “fraudulent” company.
His primary contention revolves around the protracted and seemingly inexplicable delay in verifying his account, an ordeal that has persisted since 2023.
Venting his frustration, Alao decried the financial institution, stating, “From my own personal assessment, this financial institution is a fraudulent one. Why, for goodness sake, will it take over four months to verify an account?”
He further narrated his struggle to fund his MasterCard through Payday for urgent transactions, stressing that his attempts have been in vain since year 2023, leading to penalties for insufficient funds on his card.
Blaming Payday for the predicament, Alao criticized the company’s proclaimed commitment to service provision, juxtaposing it with the alleged inability of customers to fund their accounts.
“The company claims to provide services, but customers can’t fund their account. Will it take eternity to verify an account? I do verification every day, but it fails. I send complaints; I get no response. No quality services. This is complete fraud,” he lamented.
The warning issued by Akeem Alao serves as a stark admonition for potential users of PayDay founded by Favour Ori, prompting scrutiny and raising questions about the digital bank’s operational efficiency and customer service standards.
