Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, confronted a soldier among motorcyclists riding against traffic along the Lagos-Badagry expressway on Tuesday January 2, 2023.
The governor, en route to the inauguration of the Conference Centre at Lagos State University (LASU), halted the offenders and sternly labelled the soldier as a “useless boy.”
Captured in a viral video, the governor’s frustration escalated as the soldier defiantly claimed his military status, leading to a sharp retort from Governor Sanwo-Olu.

The soldier was subsequently taken into custody, with the governor expressing his ire by declaring, “You are telling you are a soldier. That’s even the reason I will lock you up. Useless boy.”
Driving or riding against the traffic is deemed a severe offense in Lagos State, emphasizing the governor’s commitment to enforcing traffic regulations for the safety of all residents.
