In a promising display of community-police collaboration, the Chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Honorable Rasaq Ajala (HRA), affirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to working hand-in-hand with law enforcement officials during a recent meeting with the newly appointed Divisional Police Officer.
The council boss disclosed this while hosting the newly posted Divisional Police Officer to Ilupeju Police Station in his office on Thursday 28th March 2024.
According to the chairman, the visit marked an important step in fostering stronger ties between local authorities and the police in ensuring community safety and security.
During the interaction, HRA warmly welcomed SP Umeozor Emeka, expressing his delight at the DPO’s presence and emphasizing the LCDA’s readiness to cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies.
“I am delighted to have you in our community, and I assure you of our maximum cooperation with your officers and other security architecture in our domain,” stated HRA.
In response, SP Umeozor Emeka conveyed his appreciation to the LCDA chairman for the warm reception and reassured the community of the police’s commitment to enhancing security measures.
He acknowledged the existing security setup within the community and pledged to intensify efforts aimed at safeguarding lives and properties in Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA and its environs.
Present at the meeting alongside Chairman Rasaq Ajala were the council manager, Mrs. Afolake Otenaike, and the council’s treasurer, Mr. Rufai Mujitaba Karohunwi, who joined in welcoming the visiting police delegation.
