The National Youth Council of Nigeria (Odiolowo-Ojuwoye branch) has organized a significant Ramadan lecture.
The lecture held on Friday, March 15th, 2024, aimed at addressing pressing societal issues and foster positive youth development.
The event which part of the annual Ramadan programme organized by the chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon Rasaq Ajala (HRA) was hosted at 2 Imoru Street in Idi-Oro, Mushin.
The e event garnered attention and participation from local youth and community members.

Uzthadh Muyideen Makinde, a distinguished lecturer tackled the poignant topic: “Temptation of the Youth.”
With eloquence and insight, Makinde delved into the root causes of prevalent vices plaguing today’s youth, notably emphasizing the pivotal role of the family unit.
During his enlightening discourse, Makinde boldly pointed fingers at parental negligence, attributing a significant portion of the youth’s negative behavioral patterns to familial dynamics.
In particular, he singled out mothers, lamenting their apparent abandonment of traditional child-rearing duties in favor of external pursuits such as business and career endeavours.
Echoing a call to action, Makinde passionately urged parents, with a special emphasis on mothers, to reclaim their pivotal roles in shaping the moral compasses of the next generation.
He advocated for a return to the foundational principles of nurturing and guidance within the household, emphasizing the critical importance of parental presence and active involvement in their children’s upbringing.
Following the intellectually stimulating lecture, attendees were treated to a delectable spread of food and beverages, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and community engagement.
