In a relentless effort to combat crime in Lagos metropolis, the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) executed a successful operation resulting in the arrest of 28 suspects on Thursday night.
Operating with precision, RRS operatives targeted notorious areas including Ketu, Mile 12 Underbridge, Old Toll Gate, and Motorways at approximately 11:25 pm.
The arrests were part of a broader initiative aimed at reducing criminal activities by closely monitoring identified black spots. The RRS team, following an overnight operation, initially apprehended 46 individuals, screening them thoroughly to identify potential suspects. After careful examination, 15 of the detainees were released, while the remaining 28 are set to face legal consequences.
The suspects are now slated to be charged in accordance with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade.
This operation underscores the commitment of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad to maintaining law and order in the bustling metropolis, sending a strong message to potential wrongdoers that criminal activities will not go unchecked.
