Oyo State government has called for calm following the explosion that rocked the state on Tuesday night.
The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, issued a statement confirming that the state government is fully engaged in managing the aftermath of the explosion to minimize its impact.
According to the statement, Governor Seyi Makinde has mobilized all security service chiefs, including para-military leaders and fire operatives, to effectively address the spillover effects triggered by the explosion.
The swift deployment of these forces underscores the government’s commitment to swiftly respond to crises and maintain public safety.
In a bid to reassure the citizens, Governor Makinde urged everyone to remain calm, emphasizing that the government is actively working to safeguard their interests and well-being.
The governor’s call for composure reflects a determined effort to prevent undue panic among the residents.

While various interpretations of the incident circulate, the state government has promptly asserted control over the situation.
