Dr. Oladoyin Odebowale, the Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties and Strategies to the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, has tendered his resignation.
The announcement was made official through a letter signed by Odebowale on Wednesday December 27, 2023.
The decision to step down comes in the wake of the passing of Governor Akeredolu, which has undoubtedly left a void in the political landscape of Ondo State.
Odebowale, in his resignation letter addressed to the relevant authorities, expressed his intention to relinquish his role as the Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties & Strategy to the governor with immediate effect.

In the letter, Odebowale conveyed his gratitude, stating, “I write to notify your office of my intention to resign my appointment as the Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties & Strategy to the Governor of Ondo State with immediate effect.
“I use this medium to thank the Government and the people of Ondo State for the rare privilege offered for service.”

This development raises questions about the potential reorganization within the governor’s former staff and the impact on the continuity of governance in Ondo State during this transitional period.
